Dr. Khaled Alwan graduated from NYU dental school with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1991. In 1992, he earned his General Dental Residency Degree at Saint Joseph Hospital in Patterson, New Jersey. From the beginnings of his career in New York City to his first private practice in Prospect Park, New Jersey to his current role at CITIDental Rancho, Dr. Alwan has been helping countless of patients improve their smiles. He considers the friendships and relationships he’s built with patients to be his greatest achievements.

Dr. Alwan’s son Danny is currently in dental school, following in his parents’ footsteps. When asked by the Board of Education about a time where he saw how improving oral care can be a benefit to the community, he cited the work that his parents did in elevating their patients’ quality of life. Dr. Alwan is proud to live by the ideals of service and community-building each and every day.

Dr. Salvani was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She moved to the Bay Area and attended UC Berkeley where she earned her B.A. degree in Integrative Biology. She then moved across the Bay Bridge and graduated from UCSF School of Dentistry. Following graduation, Dr. Salvani completed a 1 year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Asian Health Services in Oakland, CA. After a few years working in private practice in the Bay Area she moved back to San Diego to live and work closer to her family and friends. 

Outside of work she enjoys being outdoors, live music, dancing and spending quality time with people. She strives to give the best patient care and experience by focusing on each person’s needs and goals. She will go above and beyond to make sure her patients are taken care of!

I've been an RDA for 14 years and have dabbled from Pediatrics to Oral surgery's. You name it, I've done it! As a child attending my orthodontics appointment something caught my attention. "Changing a smile." I knew that this was my calling. 

I wanted to be helpful to others to achieve the smile they wanted, as I did myself. When I'm not at work, I enjoy hikes, long jogs; you can call me a gym rat hahaha but most of all I love adventures with my kids!

Olga Sharikova has been at our office since 1999. She moved to the United States from Russia where she is a licensed Dentist. After working with us as a registered dental assistant Olga became a licensed Dental Hygienist in 2013. On her days off, Olga enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and her cat. 

San Diego native graduated from Concorde Career College and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene at Northern Arizona University. My personal mission is to offer the best preventative hygiene services to every patient who sits in my chair. When I'm not cleaning teeth, I enjoy traveling, going to the gym, and watching cooking shows!  

Tyra joined our office in 2022 after completing a dental assisting program. She came to the US over 20 years ago having lived in Italy and Sweden before making San Diego her home. She not only speaks 4 languages but also has experience in several work fields as she loves to be learning and pursuing passions in life. Tyra is most proud of being a mother to her two sons. When not working, Tyra is spending time with her sons, other family members and being active in the beautiful San Diego Sun.

Hello! My name is Erica, born and raised in sunny San Diego. I attended Concorde Career College an accelerated program. I graduated with my RDA license in 2013. In my free time I love to spend time with my loved ones, roller skate, cook, paint and most of all travel.

Stephanie Bischel has been affiliated with this dental practice for 25 years and continues to offer compassionate care to patients in her role as office manager. She is a native San Diegan, raised in Clairemont. On your next visit, you may find her Bernese Mountain dog, Harris, lounging outside her office door. Stephanie cares as much about the patients as she does about her associates. 

In her free time she loves spending time with friends, soccer, and going on adventures with Harris and her family.

Mario was born and raised in San Diego; he graduated from Grossmont Health Occupations Center as a dental assistant in 2016. He has a young daughter and a pit bull named Nala. On his free time Mario enjoys exercising, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.

Paige is an East County native, graduated from Valhalla High School in 2007 and attended Practical Dental Assisting of Virginia Beach in 2019. She has over 3 years experience with dental assisting and front desk. She has chair side experience with general dentistry, and specialty training in endodontics and oral surgery. Paige is full of positive energy and can’t wait to meet you all!

In her free time you will see Paige crocheting her heart out, rescuing plants from the pant shelter, at the gym with her partner, or hanging out with family, friends and puppies.
